
Deutsche Telekom has reported revenue of Euro 13.8 billion for the first quarter of 2013.
For the period under review the company’s revenues in the US declined by 8.0 per cent and stood at Euro 3.5 billion. In Germany, Deutsche Telekom’s revenue stood at Euro 5.6 billion registering a decline of 1.6 per cent. In the rest of the Europe, the telecom operator’s revenues declined by 6.9 per cent on account of reduction in mobile termination charges. The company’s revenues for the rest of Europe stood at Euro 3.3 billion.
For the first quarter of 2013, the operator’s earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation and free cash flow stood at Euro 4.3 billion and 1.0 billion. The company’s net profit increased by 3.5 per cent and stood at Euro 564 million.
At the end of first quarter of 2013 the operator had a total subscriber base of 37 million.
