Meanwhile, operating income decreased to $23 million from $82 million in the first quarter of fiscal 2012, while revenues from its global communications solutions group decreased by 14.1 per cent to $573 million.

Networking revenue decreased by 29.3 per cent to $58 million and Avaya Global Services revenue decreased by 4.5 per cent to $609 million.

The US market contributed to 54 per cent of the company?s revenue in the period under consideration, while the EMEA contributed 27 per cent, the Asia Pacific region accounted for 10 per cent of revenues and the Americas, for 9 per cent.
