Swan Telecom has completed the acquisition of Allianz Infratech. Swan has reportedly received a no-objection certificate from the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) for the deal, subject to both companies meeting regulatory requirements. DoT has also asked Swan to submit a fresh proposal for the merger after the deal has been approved by the Competition Commission. Allianz Infratech holds licences to operate in the Madhya Pradesh and Bihar circles where Swan is not currently present. As part of the deal, Swan will gain access to the 4.4 MHz of spectrum allocated to Allianz.
