Airtel Kenya and Equity Bank have entered into a partnership to offer mobile commerce solutions to former?s users in Kenya, through Airtel Money.
Using the Airtel Money service, users will be able to pay their utility bills, receive bank transaction alerts, check account balance and receive mini statements.
Commenting on the tie-up, Jayant Khosla, chief executive officer, Airtel Africa-Anglophone, said, ?The Equity Bank?s 203 branches and a network of 600 ATMs, will complement 10,000 Airtel Money agents spread across Kenya, thus making it easier and more convenient for customers to have guaranteed access to Airtel Money deposit and withdrawal of cash.?
