The cabinet is to take a decision on the sale of the government’s residual stake in Videsh Sanchar Nigam Limited (VSNL) shortly. It will decide whether the Tata Group can utilise its call option to buy the remaining stake in the company ?? it currently owns 74 per cent stake in VSNL.
