According to Oracle, the uptake of cloud-based applications has been more rapid in emerging markets such as Pakistan, Vietnam, the Philippines and Malaysia, compared to India.
The firm adds that despite India emerging as a dominant market over the last few years, countries such as Pakistan and Malaysia are challenging India by rapidly deploying cloud-based services.
In India, while small- and medium-sized companies are rapidly adopting cloud-based services, large companies are still reluctant, citing security concerns.
