According to a report by Opensignal, 5G download speeds in India have been found to be 16.5 times faster than 4G. With 5G, the speed was recorded at 242.1Mbps compared to 14.7 Mbps with 4G connectivity.
The upload speeds were also found to be better with 5G connectivity. Upload speeds with 5G connectivity were recorded at 21.2 Mbps on average which was 5.4 times faster than on 4G connectivity.
The report also said that the users in India enjoy a ‘very good’ video streaming experience on 5G connection which corresponds to a 65 to 75 score on a 100 point scale. In contrast, the 4G video experience was rated ‘fair’ which is a 40 to 55 score on a 100 point scale.
