According to the Global mobile Suppliers Association (GSA), currently 465 operators in 139 countries are investing in 5G networks in the form of tests, trials, pilots, planned, and actual deployments.

Further, 180 5G networks have been launched in 72 countries so far and about 400 organisations currently hold local/private licenses or are engaged in private mobile network deployments based on LTE or 5G.

In addition, around 154 operators are also investing in Narrowband-IoT (NB-IoT) and LTE-M networks, noted GSA. Of this, 109 are actively deploying the 4×4 MIMO technology, and 93 operators have deployed or launched the technology within their commercial networks.

As per GSA, 796 operators have launched public LTE networks worldwide and 429 operators have launched LTE fixed wireless access services.
