According to Juniper Research the growing user acceptance of ?push? mobile banking and the encouraging adoption of tablets will result in 200 million people using tablet banking services by 2017.

Also, 19 per cent of the total mobile banking customers will be tablet users by 2017. The report released by Juniper Research further points out that by 2017, the tablet users? adoption of bill presentation and payment transactional banking will be higher than that of mobile handset users’, especially in the developed countries where tablets are used widely.

With the online payments accounting for a significant proportion of bill payments, especially in developed markets, bill presentment and payment transactions will migrate from the desktop towards tablet devices. Increasing number of consumers will prefer paying bills and handling transactions through tablet devices as compared to smartphones. In 2017, the number of mobile banking users will exceed 1 billion, representing 15 per cent of the total global mobile handset users.
