1,300 BSNL employees opt for VRS in Assam circle

As per Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), around 1,300 employees have opted for voluntary retirement scheme (VRS) in the Assam circle.

Refuting the plans of shut down, BSNL said that VRS has been implemented all over India as a part of the revival plan.

Across the country, 1,800 employees have opted for VRS, and around 1,700 employees are still working in the Assam circle.
