What have been the key highlights for Ishan Technologies during the past year? What solutions does the company offer?

In 2023, Ishan Technologies experienced a strong momentum, marked by significant achievements across our core pillars, which are cybersecurity services, network services, system integration, data centres and cloud. Our partnership with Google Cloud as an authorised service provider was a key highlight, driving cloud adoption and transformation for Indian enterprises.

Additionally, our commitment to cybersecurity led us to forge a partnership with Versa Networks to launch managed secure access service edge services. While still in the implementation stage, we anticipate this initiative to make a substantial impact in the industry. Moreover, the inauguration of our maiden
data centre in Mumbai stands as a monumental milestone.

How has the overall last-mile connectivity improved in India? What role does Ishan Technologies play in ensuring last-mile connectivity?

Improvements in last-mile connectivity across India have been pivotal in bridging geographical disparities and fostering digital inclusion.

In alignment with the national agenda to enhance last-mile connectivity, Ishan Technologies is strategically positioning itself to expand into Tier II and III cities. The company has connectivity across India and we are building more fibre networks to cater to customer needs. We
offer connectivity to over 30 data centres across India.

What has been the progress under the BharatNet project? What is the need for PPPs in the project?

The BharatNet project, with its multi-tiered architecture and substantial funding allocation, has made significant strides in expanding digital connectivity across India, particularly in rural areas. However, to fully realise its objectives and ensure efficient implementation, the project requires the involvement of private sector expertise through public-private partnerships (PPPs).

By engaging in PPP arrangements, the company can leverage its local knowledge and infrastructure to support the BharatNet initiative, thereby expanding its market reach and contributing to socio-economic development. Through collaborative efforts with the government and other stakeholders, ISPs like Ishan can play a pivotal role in delivering reliable connectivity solutions, ultimately empowering communities and fostering inclusive growth nationwide.

What are your thoughts on the use of AI and big data analytics in the telecom sector?

Through the implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) and big data analytics, telecom operations stand to benefit from enhanced optimisation, streamlined processes and predictive maintenance capabilities. By predicting and addressing potential issues before they arise, operators can minimise downtime, optimise network resources and significantly improve overall service reliability.

Furthermore, AI and data-driven analytics offer invaluable insights into customer behaviour, enabling operators to tailor services and allocate resources more effectively. Ultimately, these technologies serve as catalysts for operational efficiency, robust network management and personalised service delivery, driving sustained success in a rapidly evolving landscape.
