Bharti Infratel has reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 6.08 billion for the quarter ended (QE) March 2019. This is marginally up from the profit of Rs 6.06 billion the company had reported during the QE March 2018. However, it is lower compared with Rs 6.48 billion, the company had reported in the previous quarter of October-December 2018.

The dip in net profits has been attributed to the drop in co-locations on its telecom sites and the rapid consolidation happening in the sector.

Meanwhile, Bharti Infratel’s total income decreased from Rs 171.93 billion during the QE March 2018 to Rs 169.44 billion during the QE March 2019.

The company’s consolidated earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) stood at Rs 15.34 billion for the January-March 2019, recording a decline of 4 per cent on a year-on-year (YoY) basis. Meanwhile, the company’s operating free cash flow increased by 14 per cent on YoY basis to Rs 11.54 billion during the period.
