HCL Technologies to invest Rs 7.5 billion in Andhra Pradesh

HCL Technologies is planning to set up two facilities in Andhra Pradesh with an investment of Rs 7.5 billion. The company aims to create 7,500 jobs in 10 years through this project.

The operations for this project will be carried out in two phases. In the first phase, HCL will invest Rs 4 billion to set up a research & development (R&D) centre in Kesarapalli village in Gannavaram. According to HCL, the first phase is expected to be completed over a period of seven years and the facility will employ more than 4,000 IT professionals.

The second phase will be taken up later in Amaravati with an investment of Rs 3.5 billion. This phase will span over five years. It will encompass an area of 20 acres and will employ about 3,500 IT professionals.
