RJIL may extend its partnership with Cisco; plans to enter enterprise market
Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited (RJIL) may extend its partnership with Cisco Systems in order to tap the Rs 500 billion enterprise market in India. Currently, the enterprise market has been largely dominated by Bharti Airtel and Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL).
As per the partnership, RJIL would be using Cisco’s main technologies for delivering network based services to large companies. The partnership will focus on solutions like internet protocol (IP)/ multiprotocol label switching (MPLS), data centre, integrated mobile core, service provider Wi-Fi, contact center, security, and enterprise information technology.
Jio has already deployed Cisco’s enterprise solutions in its Mumbai’s headquarters.
Earlier, in 2012, Reliance had joined hands with Cisco to bolster its consumer business. The two had worked across multiple technology areas including voice over long term evolution (VoLTE).
