Google has entered into a partnership with Andhra Pradesh State Fiber Net Limited (APSFNL) to roll out Google Station in over 12,000 villages of Andhra Pradesh. Under the partnership, around 10 million people would be provided internet access.

After this, Google is planning on introducing this service in cities like Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam in order to connect gram panchayats, primary health care centres and other public places.

Earlier, Google had joined hands with RailTel and Indian Railways to offer Wi-Fi access across 400 railway stations in India.

Apart from this, Google has rebranded its payment app as Google Pay from the previous Tez with an aim to take its payments app to more online and retail merchants across the country.
