May 02, 2018

Kaizad Heerjee, chief executive officer (CEO), Aircel  has resigned from his position.

However, Heerjee will continue to work with the insolvency resolutionprofessional (IRP) to help the telecom operator, which has filed for bankruptcy protection, sort out its interim funding.

Heerjee was nominated as the CEO of Aircel towards the end of 2013 after that post lay vacant for almost eight months. He was chief operating officer (COO) then. Heerjee had joined Aircel from Malaysian operator U Mobile a year before he became CEO.
