Vodafone India likely to launch 4G VoLTE services in Tamil Nadu during 2018

Vodafone India is expected to launch 4G voice-over long-term evolution (VoLTE) services in Tamil Nadu during 2018. Vodafone VoLTE services were recently launched in Haryana, Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Maharashtra and Goa and will be extended across the country in a phased manner over the next few months.

Further, the company added that it has made investments of about Rs 6 billion in Tamil Nadu and Chennai during 2017-18. The operator added 7,234 sites during the period January 2017 to January 2018 with more than 1,700 equipped with double carrier facility, which offers double the speed for customers. Moreover, Vodafone India has till date invested Rs 73 billion in the state. Additionally, it has invested over Rs 4.50 billion in 2017-18 in Tamil Nadu. In Chennai, it has 2,539 sites launched between January 2017 and January 2018 and has till date invested Rs 30 billion including Rs 1.5 billion during 2017-18. Further, Vodafone India offers SuperNet 4G services in more than 1,800 towns in Tamil Nadu.
