Cyient sets up a global tower operations centre in Hyderabad

Cyient, a global solutions provider focused on engineering, manufacturing, data analytics, and networks and operations has established a global tower operations centre (TOC), at its company headquarters in Hyderabad.

The TOC is internet of Things (IoT) enabled and is capable of providing round the clock surveillance and remote monitoring of passive assets in cell towers across multiple locations. The architecture allows communication between sensors and a cloud based analytics engine for the extraction of and analysis of data for insights.

According to the company, this increases tower uptime, reduces operational costs, improves site security and ensures efficient management of power. In addition, the integration of trouble ticketing along with field force management leads to improved efficiency in field operations and optimisation of asset utilisation. This will allow field engineers to to manage network assets by utilising technologies such as IoT, cloud, etc.
