Samsung to develop immersive content on Indian heritage sites

December 18, 2017

Samsung India has partnered with UNESCO MGIEP (Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Education for Peace and Sustainable Development) to launch 360 degree videos and virtual reality (VR) content on Indian heritage sites.

Under the partnership, Samsung India will develop 360 degree video and VR content on two Indian heritage sites - the Sun Temple in Konark, Odisha and the Taj Mahal in Agra, Uttar Pradesh.

The project will deliver experiential educational content to students across the country and make the educational process more immersive. Additionally, Samsung may cover more heritage sites in the future although no confirmation has been given as of now.
