Ericsson reports combined revenue of SEK 7.5 billion for South East Asia, Oceania and India for the quarter ended September 2017

October 23, 2017

Ericsson has reported combined revenue of SEK 7.5 billion for South East Asia, Oceania and India for the quarter ended September 2017. Ericsson recorded an increase of 23 per cent in sales of IT and cloud on year-on-year basis and a 6 per cent decline in networks and 33 per cent decline in other segments for the South East Asia, Oceania and India region. Overall, the combined region witnessed sales of SEK 7.5 billion where SEK 6.3 billion came from networks, SEK 1.1 billion came from IT and cloud and SEK 0.1 billion came from other segments. Further, the revenue contribution from India stood at 7 per cent of the company’s overall revenue.

The company has stated that sales in South East Asia, Oceania and India for the quarter ended September 2017 were lower as compared to that in the quarter ended September 2016 owing to currency movements and timing of mobile broadband infrastructure investments. However, it stated that the loss was partly offset by increased IT and cloud sales primarily in India.
