Arunachal Pradesh CM requests telecom operators to scale up operations in state

October 12, 2017

Pema Khandu, chief minister, Arunachal Pradesh (AP) has invited telecom operators to scale up operations in the state. The AP state government is giving impetus to achieve 100 per cent reliable mobile connectivity in the state.

According to Khandu, a robust telecom and broadband connectivity and provision of quality telecom services are also national priority. He further added that the lack of reliable mobile connectivity is hindering the promotion of tourism in the state, in turn dampening the overall development of the state.

For this purpose, a cell has been formed in CM’s office to monitor all the major telecom projects in the state and provide support to all the telecom operators facing problems related to road cutting, land acquisition etc.

Further, he also requested telecom operators to provide high speed broadband services which will not only increase their revenues but will also usher economic development in Arunachal Pradesh.
