State-run telecom operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is planning to install 200 additional base transceiver stations (BTS) across Odisha within three months to strengthen its network coverage in the region.

According to BSNL, 257 BTSs for 2G services and 292 BTSs for 3G services have already been installed in the region. The operator now plans to install 100 BTSs for strengthening its 2G network and 100 for its 3G network in Odisha.

Meanwhile, BSNL has also started working to change old machinery installed at some places of Mayurbhanj and Balasore districts in Odisha. In the future, the operator plans to convert all 2G networks into 3G to resolve network related issues.
