RJIL emerges as the fastest 4G mobile service provider during June 2017, as per TRAI data

According to data released by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited (RJIL) has emerged as the fastest 4G mobile service provider during June 2017. As per the data, RJIL reported an average download speed of 18.8 Mbps during June 2017. However, the download speed offered by the operator was lower than the 19.12 Mbps speed reported by it during May 2017.

RJIL was followed by Vodafone India, Idea Cellular and Bharti Airtel with an average download speed of 12.29 Mbps, 11.68 Mbps and 8.23 Mbps, respectively.    According to TRAI’s broadband speed chart, RJIL has remained the fastest 4G mobile service provider for the past seven months.

Meanwhile, Vodafone reporded the highest download speed of 5.65 Mbps in the 3G segment. It was followed by Idea, Airtel, Aircel and Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited with download speeds of 3.59 Mbps, 3.37 Mbps, 2.36 Mbps and 1.59 Mbps.
