RJIL gained a market share of 9.6 per cent between September 2016 and April 2017, says Ind-Ra
According to a report by credit rating agency India Ratings and Research (Ind-Ra) Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited (RJIL) gained a market share of 9.6 per cent between September 2016 and April 2017. Further, as per the agency, Bharti Airtel’s market share declined by 1.6 per cent while that of Vodafone India declined by 2 per cent during the same period.
Furthermore, the agency said that the industry witnessed an addition of only 4.4 million new GSM subscribers during April 2017 as compared to the 8.3 million subscribers added during March 2017. Bharti Airtel added 2.85 million subscribers during April 2017. Meanwhile, Vodafone India and Idea Cellular added 0.75 million and 0.68 million subscribers, respectively.
