Ericsson partners with ESSCI to opens technical training skill centre for youth in UP

Ericsson in partnership with Electronics Sector Skills Council of India (ESSCI) has opened a a skill centre in Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh. With this Ericsson aims to train the youth in mobile hardware repair and provide technical training in computers and peripherals.

Ericsson has also launched the "Ghazipur Mobile Vaani", a district-level citizen communication and engagement platform. The platform seeks to spread awareness among people about government's welfare schemes and will help the company understand their grievances and feedback.

According to the company, the platform is based on an Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system which will enable citizens to get information on various initiatives taken by the government.

The skill centre has been designed to take care of end-to-end engagement with Ghazipur youth. After providing training, the skill centre will also work towards providing placement assistance, guidance and support for micro-entrepreneurship.
